"Partial Adventures in Space 1" is an abstract glass table-top sculpture, circa 1988 by Canadian artist Mary Filer (1920 - 2016). Proficient in multiple artistic mediums, this sculpture is one that was produced in her Vancouver, BC studio in the 1970s. Layered glass pieces represent "the idea of punching a hole into space". This sculpture is pictured in the monograph, "The Life and Art of Mary Filer...The Unheralded Artists of BC" by Christina Johnson-Dean on page 91. Etched monogram signature in the lower left. Note: the sculpture is in two pieces, the base and the main part.
