A rare solid jacaranda Poltrona Moleca armchair and ottoman designed by Brazilian furniture maker Sergio Rodrigues, circa 1960s. The Moleca chair has not been produced in over three decades and this rosewood example was acquired from a home in Palm Springs, California. The chair retains its original finish and has been newly reupholstered in a brown "broken-in" leather, using the original cushions for the inserts. The leather straps on the chair have been remade to the exact specifications of the originals, while the straps on the ottoman are original. The dimensions in this listing are for the chair. The dimensions of the ottoman are: W 32", D 22", H 17".
