A hand-sculpted bronze bonsai tree by American artist Jack S. Chase (B 1941). The sculpture is anchored onto a rough-hewn split granite block, which is mounted to a mahogany plinth base. It retains a metal tag with the artist's signature and the date 5-79. On the underside of the base is one of the artist's business cards with the notation "Out Gorham Way" which may be the name of the piece.
