A Lucite and nickel-plated steel Metric line dining table base, designed in the 1970s by the Lucite legend, Charles Hollis Jones. Listed in his catalogue as table CHJ 495, it is part of a very successful line of furniture that was initially designed in 1970. This table was acquired from a home in Palm Springs, where many of Mr. Jones' pieces are found due to the popularity of his work. The metal has been re-plated and the Lucite sections have been professionally polished. The base is being sold without a top which eases the shipping burden. It will easily accommodate a locally sourced 96" by 60" glass or lucite top. The base could also be used as a writing table.

Excellent, wear consistent with age and use.
