Cork Writing Table from Steve McQueen's Residence
A 1950s curved writing table from the Steve McQueen residence in the Southridge Estates area of Palm Springs. The table is very much in the style of the renowned designer Paul Frankl in the 1950s. The wood on the table is oak. The oak has been covered on all of the exterior surfaces with a thin cork veneer over a copper gilding. There is a slight curve to the table that is perfect for floating in a room. When we acquired the table, along with other furnishings from the McQueen house, it was being used in the master bedroom suite.
Condition
Excellent, wear consistent with age and use.
