A two door tall cabinet attributed to the California furniture maker, Monteverdi-Young, circa 1950's. The cabinet is veneered in American walnut and the hardware is cast from aluminum with brass accents. The metal strapping that wraps around the cabinet adds an industrial feeling and is decidedly masculine. Probably part of a suite of furniture, the interior has four drawers and was most recently used as a bar cabinet. A structure built onto the underside of the cabinet was added to divert air from a heating vent in the floor.
