A walnut drop-leaf dining table designed in the 1960s by Barney Flagg for Drexel Furniture's "Parallel Line". This table is distinguished by its "boat" shape when both leaves are raised and by the arched stretcher that stabilizes the base. The table top is veneered with walnut and the legs and stretchers are solid walnut. The original color has been retained and is a fantastic shade that makes the wood resemble teak. Each of the leaves are hinged with bold, offset joinery that adds panache to an otherwise discreet design. Stenciled on the bottom "Parallel by Drexel"
