A leather and wood Brazilian sling chair designed by British architect Dominic Michaelis in the 1970s. Known as "The Sail Chair" for obvious reasons, this particular piece retains its original label that identifies the manufacturer as Moveis Corraza in Piracicaba Brazil. The chair was found in its original box and apparently was never assembled an used...it is in outstanding original condition. The wooden frame was made from jatoba wood which is also known as Brazilian cherrywood. The quilted leather sling is attached to the top of the chair frame with rope which can be adjusted as needed.
