A wonderfully serene "low-tide" seascape titled "Le Lac d' Hossegor" by Marcou (Lake Hossegor is a fresh water lake, located in southwest of France, near the town of Biarritz and close to the Spanish border). Signed and dated '63 in the lower left quadrant of the painting. Labeled on the back with a vintage sticker identifying the artist's name and the painting's title. An additional label identifies Ressler Galleries Fine Arts in Detroit MI as once handling the piece. Newly cleaned, restored and framed with a linen mat and silver giltwood frame.
